Jan Havel - Associate Director - Actum (Czech Republic)
Jan Havel studied finance and banking at the Univeristy of Economics, where he earned his Ph.D. in general economic theory. He teaches monetary economics at the University of Economics and CEVRO Institute. In 2005-2006 he held the position of advisor to the bank board of the Czech National Bank. In 1996 he co-founded Actum, a company focused primarily on development of internet applications and online marketing, where he held various positions, among others as marketing consultant and managing director. At the moment, he is member of the board and Client Service Director of Actum. Jan is married and has two children. Among others he likes frisbee ultimate, badminton, mountains, and the Austrian school of economic thought.
Harald Mueller - Regional Sales Director - EMC Ionix (Germany)
Harald Mueller holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from the Technical University in Munich, Germany. Before joining EMC he managed various Software Development Projects in Europe and Asia and worked as a Sales Manager for InfoVista in Central and Eastern Europe. He is now Director of the EMC Ionix Sales Division in EMEA North including Eastern Europe, leading the business for EMC's software solutions for IT Management across the data center.
Karel Miko - Director of DCIT Consultancy Division - DCIT (Czech Republic)
Karel Miko graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic). He joined DCIT, a.s. in 1996. He is currently the Director of DCIT Consultancy Division providing services in the field of information security (security audits, penetration tests, security analysis, information security management, BCP), consultancy concerning IT projects and IS/IT audits. He is a member of ISACA and has achieved a CISA certificate (Certified Information System Auditor). Karel is actively involved in the field of IT security for more than 10 years.
Michal Langer - IS Manager - Philip Morris International (Czech Republic)
Manager Information Services at Philip Morris International, responsible for IT/IS Czech and Slovak markets and with more than 15 years experience of working in various IS/IT management roles in CE region. As of 2004 member of Philip Morris ČR a.s. Management Team to facilitate the alignment of the IT/IS plans with company core business objectives.
In his previous accomplishments he managed projects focused on implementation of ERP, CRM, Quality and Business Intelligence Systems for Czech, Slovakia and Hungary. At present, he manages the process of transition of locally provided services to global outsourcing partners. He is Certified ITIL and PMP® Project Management Professional.
Beatrice Shepherd - Director CEE, Russia + CIS Countries - Frost&Sullivan (Poland)
Beatrice is a Director at Frost & Sullivan responsible for the Central and East Europe, Russia and other CIS countries. Beatrice is responsible for all consulting and research activities in the region and based out of Poland. She typically also acts as project lead, or manager, on a number of engagements that capitalise on her geographical expertise and industry knowledge.
Prior to joining Frost & Sullivan Beatrice worked for Huawei Technologies as the Market Intelligence Manager for Services in Europe, providing a market perspective to senior management to support decision-making, as well as being involved in business planning, strategic decision-making and operational improvement initiatives. She has also worked for Pyramid Research, part of The Economist Group, where she was specifically tasked with coverage of CEE, Russia and CIS. IN 2006 she relocated from London to Warsaw to set up Frost & Sullivan operation in the CEE region. In May 2009 she set up Moscow office of Frost & Sullivan.
Janek Veermae - Managing International Sales&Business Development - Markit.eu (Estonia)
Janek has over 10 years of experience in IT, e-business, logistics and B2B sales at international level. He started his career in Helmes LTD, one of the biggest system integration companies in Baltic States. Janek worked there as logistics manager, quality manager and later as sales manager. In 2002 he joined MarkIT.eu - an innovative IT e-procurement system with an ambition to revolutionize IT purchasing by making it simple, quick and transparent. At present Janek is managing international sales & business development team in Markit.eu. MarkIT has been one of the fastest growing companies in the region. Increasing its revenue to 24 mil EUR and expanding to 17 European countries. MarkIT's vision is to reach pan-European coverage with its core services by 2011. His is interested in strategic management, leadership and centralized e-procurement planning in EU. Other interests are traveling, reading, swimming & cycling.
Josef Bouška - Director - CWPRG (Czech Republic)
Josef Bouška has published in Czech media since 2004, working with the biggest selling weekly news magazine, Týden, and a two daily newspapers, Lidové noviny and Slovo. A proficient internet expert, Josef has managed numerous implementations of web services, for companies such as Citibank, Mediacop or Globopolis. He has six year of PR experience and currently works as Deputy Director of Communication Works, a public relations agency based in Prague.
Andre Wehner - Head Process Integration - Audi AG (Germany)
Andre Wehner has more than 15 years of experience leading IT technology operations and projects across large-scale, complex organizations. He is the former CIO Kabel Deutschland GmbH, Germany's leading cable operator. As such, he managed the development and implementation of IT services for Kabel Deutschland's new offerings in digital TV and telecommunication services. He served in this role from 2004 - 2007.
He started his career in Alcatel in 1990 where he served in a variety of management positions for more than 10 years in IT and network operations.
Andre Wehner joined AUDI AG in 2009 and took over the responsibility for Steering and Supporting Processes within AUDI's IT organization.
Alan Krautstengel - President - Anglo American University (Czech Republic)
Alan Krautstengl graduated in mathematics from Charles University in Prague in 1990. Two years later, he obtained Master of Arts in applied mathematics at Kent State University in the US, where he also finished his PhD after solving a 25-year old open problem in 1995. Between the years 1997-2001 he had a post at pro-minent American universities first as Assistant Professor and later as Associate Professor, and co-operated with significant firms and organisations including NASA. Coming back to the Czech Republic, he lectured at several universities and in 2003 he became vice-president for research, development and international relations at the Institute of Finance and Administration. Since 2005 he has been president of the Anglo-American University and visiting professor at Chapman University in the US since 2007. He also participates in research projects at the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.
Petr Knap - Partner - Ernst&Young (Czech Republic)
Petr Knap is a Partner at Ernst & Young's Advisory Services, based in Prague. After having worked in Human Resources at Procter & Gamble, he joined Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in 1996; in 2002 he transferred to Ernst & Young. His main focus is on project management, process improvement, costing and supply chain topics, mainly working for public sector, pharmaceuticals and telecommunications. Zbigniew Skurczynski - Regional Director Eastern Europe - F5 Networks (Germany)
Mr. Zbigniew Skurczynski serves as Regional Director for Eastern Europe of F5 Networks GmbH, bringing more than 15 years of international business development, sales, marketing, and technology experience, Mr. Skurczynski leads F5's Eastern European operations based in Munich, Germany, building distributor, partner and customer relationships. Yuri Rotmanov - Sales Manager, Central Eastern Europe, IBM Business Intelligence and Performance Management
Yuri Rotmanov worked in a number of IT Sales Management roles in Moscow, London, Stockholm and Vienna. He was responsible for establishing Cognos business in Central Eastern Europe, Russia & the CIS when he joined Cognos in 2002. Mr. Rotmanov is now responsible for IBM Cognos business in Central Eastern Europe and supervises IBM Cognos local teams and reseller network across Central Eastern European region. He has over 13 years of IT solutions sales management experience in Europe. He holds a graduate from the City University of New York. Yuri lives with his family in Vienna, Austria.
